Happy Monday everyone!
My birthday weekend was absolutely great. Of course, not the healthiest, but that's to be expected. And I'll admit, I haven't worked out since my Friday 6-miler and I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get that 12 mile run in over the weekend, but eh what can I do? The rain on Saturday morning kind of put a damper on those plans.
The birthday itself was great. Waited for the rain to pass and actually made it out to the beach in the afternoon. I wanted a fresh, golden sparkle for my night out on the town. People showed up in workout gear and it was so much fun! Of course I forgot to bring my camera so I don't have a picture, but everyone looked pretty dang cute.
And let's just say yesterday was spent in recovery mode.
But I'm doing the usual Monday thing: getting back into routine. Working out over lunch, grocery shopping tonight, and the like.
Unrelated, but I did want to share something kind of interesting I found. And something that makes me wish I had an extra $1,000 sitting around.
Jillian Michaels is hosting a cruise! Have you guys heard about this?
It's in October and is all about healthy eating, working out, seminars, etc. Basically it's a floating health club. Plus, you'd get to go to Miami and the Bahamas!
I know most everyone (ok, everyone!) can't afford it, but how cool! More info here.

A friend of mine sent me a link to the cruise the other week. I was very disappointed to see that it was in October, because I work in corporate finance and accounting, and our fiscal year-end is Sept 30, which means we spend all of the month of October, and part of November, working a lot of hours during the weeks and weekends.

I have heard about the cruise and totally want to go. I would be star struck to meet Jillian in person and would probably embarrass myself. Will there be alcohol on the cruise I wonder???
