I emailed Sarah yesterday asking if she'd be interested in a morning run. She's usually up for a run whenever, wherever, so I wasn't shocked when she said YES!
So got up at 6:15 and headed over to her place (she only lives about 5 blocks from me) and we set out to Lake of the Isles. I brought Jack with too so he could get some nice exercise in before sitting around all day.

We successfully completed our nonstop 4 miles with no problem! And we were both (well at least I know I was) more awake post-run!
Then as we were finishing up she was asking me about biking to work. What route I take, etc. So I said, let's go together. (She works downtown too) So about 45 minutes later, both ready for work, we met up on our bikes and headed downtown.
This time, we took Nicollet through downtown and it was absolutely gorgeous. The Farmer's Market was getting ready and downtown was just bustling. It was fun to bike through!
So all by 8 a.m. I had run 4 miles and biked (about) 2! Yipee!
Oh and unrelated but I wanted to share with you guys: yesterday I conquered the hill that is part of my half marathon course. You know, the hill that I blogged about on my Urban Bike Ride. The hill is right along the river just outside of downtown, so I biked to it and then attempted the run up it. And I was able to make it! I was tired by the top, but at least I made it! So I was happy about that. Especially because my half marathon is NEXT weekend! What?? How the heck did that happen? AAH Butterflies!

Can we go run this hill together one night next week so I know where it is and have a little experience with it?? I don't want to be shocked and totally flip out during the race!
