If you haven't heard the news yet, it's National Running Day today! The rain seems to have quit for the day, so get outside and run. Even if it's just a mile. But don't listen to me, I'm a hypocrite.Because I'm taking the day off of running.
Since it's the week of my half marathon, I'm not sure what else to do to prepare. I know I don't want to strength train because I'm usually sore after that and I've heard that being sore the week of is not a good idea. I'm going to run a bit tomorrow and Friday, but they're going to be short runs (no more than 3 miles). And I'm doing nothing but resting my muscles Saturday.
But tonight I'm taking advantage of an opportunity and am trying Spin! For the first time ever!
My friend Justin is an instructor at the Lifetime downtown and my roomie Dan goes every week. As does a coworker of mine. And I've heard his classes are just fab.
So last week Dan suggested we go together. And while I'm a little nervous to try something new on this big week of mine and I'm scared to be sore, I'm also really excited to give this class a try!
I'll give you a full report tomorrow on what is a very special day. What makes it special? Well, I guess you'll have to tune in tomorrow!

On a different note: I have a new obsession. Kemps Raspberry Vanilla FroZing Yogurt!
It's so YUM! Have you guys tried it yet? I've only had the Raspberry Vanilla flavor, but I love it so much I don't want to try the other flavors.
It has 110 calories in a 1/2 cup and I probably have a 200-220 calorie serving. So it's a bit high for a dessert, but on these warmer days, it has really made me smile.
