Tennis FTW!

Sarah and I had our second tennis game of the season last night. Last week was a bit L for us, but this week we were on our game! And this one went waaay better, most notably because we won! But really our playing and game strategy was kickin'

Us, post-game. Happy about the results.

The last two weeks have seemed like they'll be washouts and the games will be canceled but we've played under the overcast sky both nights now.

I'm so happy to be in this tennis league and be able to play every week. I grew up playing tennis multiple times per week and then poof! It was gone from my life. And I never realize how much I miss it until I have that racket in my hand and I'm on a court. I live for it!

And our game last night was a good one. We kicked booty the first game with a 6-1 set. But then in the second set, things got close. Maybe the other team was warmed up? But we won with a 7-5 set. Those last two games where exhilarating and I was the last one to serve so I got to say the best line of all:

GAME. SET. MATCH POINT!

And we won it!

I live for the adrenaline on a tennis court. Just love it! And Sarah's a great partner to have. We talk (well more like whisper) the whole game and it's great to have a partner as competitive as I am! I get really competitive in the game, but when I lose I'm able to shake it quickly. I just love to play so much!

And one of the best parts of winning: You get to keep the game balls!

Every game a new canister of balls is opened and the winner gets to keep them! I'll take it!

And FTW doesn't just stand for "For the Win" in this post. It also means "For the Weekend!" Well, my plans for the weekend are low-key. Working my second job this afternoon (I get half day Fridays now that Memorial Day has passed!) and don't really have much planned. As mentioned yesterday the bank account is low right now so I'm hoping to avoid as much spending as possible. That really makes for a boring weekend! Boo. But it's supposed to rain the whole time anyway, so oh well.
