This weekend is a biggie for me. I have mucho to do and friends in town for the annual Pride festival. I'm waaay excited. Now if only mother nature will cut us some slack....
Here's a rundown of the schedule:
Tonight I'm working my second job until 8 then Sarah and I are hitting the Uptown Block Party. It's just a few blocks from my house, so why not?
Then in the a.m. Sarah and I are rising early to run a 5k! The Heartbeat 5000 is at Father Hennepin Park right in Northeast. I'm excited! And I'm shooting for less than a half hour. Hopefully I can make that happen! It'll be great training for the 10k Sarah and I are doing in July!
The rest of Saturday will either be spent shopping or at Loring Park. Feel like the weather is going to determine this one.
The Sunday is the big kahuna. Gay Pride Parade, Loring Park beer garden, and then the big block party downtown. Needless to say, I am taking Monday off of work!

And here's props to Nikki, my stand-in tennis partner last night. Sarah had tickets to NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, so Nikki played in her place. For having claimed to not be that good, she was great! And we won our game! Here she is with the game winning balls. Our trophy if you will.
